Username and password are given in your agenda in the “Library” information section.

  • Film studio equipment (backgrounds, lighting)

Library Volunteer Opportunities:

You are invited to join the Library Student Advisory Group! Help make the library a better place for students by organizing interesting activities and contests, suggesting books for purchase and creating displays. You can also learn how the library operates and help with tasks such as circulating, returning and shelving books. Please see the librarian to sign up.

Library Use Guidelines:

The library functions as a “common room” before school, at recess and at lunch. You are welcome to socialize, play card or board games, spend time on the computers, and read. However, during class time, as well as on test and exam days, the library is a quiet place to study and noisier activities are suspended. Couches are “off limits” during all classes.

Individual students who come to work in the library during class must show a note of explanation from their teacher.

No food or drink is permitted in the library, with the exception of water.

Photocopies and printouts are available for $0.10 each.

Computer Use Guidelines:

Terms set out in the computer use agreement that you sign at the beginning of each year apply in the library, as well. In addition, several other rules apply:

  • Students who have schoolwork to complete have priority over other users.

  • No gaming at any time.

  • No changes to programs or settings, including changes to screensavers.

  • No cyber bullying.

Avoid inappropriate sites. If you accidentally come across sites dealing with hate material, sexually explicit material or violent images, please alert the librarian.

To save your documents, e-mail the information to yourself using Portal, Yahoo, Gmail or Hotmail. You may also use a memory stick.

You may borrow the following from the collection:
