Traffic Control

Parking is prohibited in the bus lanes in the front of the school, during bus front of the main arrival and departure times (7:20 – 8:00 and 1:25 – 2:35). (building and especially in the bus lanes.) This is a designated drop-off and pick-up area for bus use (only.) With parental cooperation, student safety during drop-off and pick-up will be maximized. The school parking lot is for the use of the school’s staff only. Students are not permitted to park on school property. Unauthorized vehicles may have to be removed (ie: towed) to ensure that there are sufficient spaces for personnel.

Motor Vehicles (Scooters, Cars) and Bicycles

We strongly advise students not to bring their bicycles or motor bikes to school owing to the fact that over the years, a number have been stolen or damaged. Since we are unable to supervise adequately the area where bicycles (scooters) are parked, we cannot accept any responsibility for bicycles (scooters) which are stolen or damaged. Bicycles (scooters) must be locked. The school is not in a position to provide facilities to park bicycles or motor vehicles.

Students who wish to drive an automobile (motor vehicle) to the school may do so, but the school is not in a position to provide parking facilities.)

Skateboards

At Westwood Senior High School, students are not permitted to skateboard on school property, at any time. Skateboards will be confiscated and student assigned one or more after school detentions and/or suspension.
